Kansas City Chiefs face injuries in training camp

• Xavier Worthy suffered a head injury during practice

Kansas City Chiefs find themselves in a challenging situation at the very start of training camp for the 2025 season due to a string of injuries to their wide receivers. Recently, during training, sophomore Xavier Worthy sustained a head injury. Although he hopes to return to the field soon, his status is in question as he was placed in the concussion protocol, which was confirmed by head trainer Endi Reid.

Xavier Worthy, who had a strong performance last season, was expected to be a key player for the team. He finished his rookie season with 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns, and also added 19 receptions for 287 yards in three playoff games.

In addition to Worthy, the team also lost veteran Marquise Brown, who suffered a hamstring injury during practice. Another wide receiver Skyy Moore also missed practice due to a hamstring issue.

Kansas City Chiefs continue training, but with increasing injuries, they may have to rely on less experienced players. Among those who remain healthy are JuJu Smith-Schuster and rookie Jalen Royals, whose role may expand due to the injuries of other players.
