This is reported by Interfax Ukraine, RBC Ukraine.
The Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, at a recent meeting on training issues emphasized the necessity of maintaining safety requirements during training on training grounds and in training centers. He noted that the entire territory of Ukraine is under the risk of enemy missile and drone strikes, therefore the training process should be maximally transferred underground.
Syrskyi emphasized the importance of quality training for soldiers to enhance the stability of the forces. With the aim of improving training, the duration of the basic training course has increased from 49 to 51 days, which allows additional time for training against drone strikes, fire and engineering preparation.
The program for the adaptation and retraining of military personnel for conducting combat operations after returning from training centers to military units has also been updated. Among the newly introduced – enhanced training of personnel on light vehicles.
At the meeting, issues of training instructors and improving their qualifications were also discussed, including in partner countries. Work is underway to establish a School for the training of instructors with the support of the charitable foundation "Return Alive". Syrskyi stressed that the main thing is people, their training and safety.
On July 29, Russian troops carried out a missile strike on a training subunit of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, as a result of which three people were killed, and 18 servicemen were injured.
