On July 30, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the achievement of the main principles of the agreement with the United States regarding the supply of weapons. He reported this in an evening video address.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine continues to collaborate with partners in the field of arms supply. "I approved the basic principles of our agreements with America. These are large-scale agreements. I discussed them with President Trump and hope that we will be able to realize them. This will strengthen the defense of our country, as well as our allies and partners," he said.

The president emphasized that Ukraine values the principled steps of the USA regarding pressure on Russia to achieve peace. "Currently, necessary actions are required to compel Russia to peace. Yes, Moscow wants to continue the struggle. But everything comes down to potential, resources for war, money. Sanctions are particularly effective in this regard. This pressure can work," added Zelensky.

He also reported that preparations are underway for new negotiations and meetings with partners at various levels, aimed at strengthening Ukraine's position and all those who seek peace.
