Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, indicated that a potential candidate from the family could run for the presidency in the future. In an interview with BBC journalist Dan Roan, he stated that relatives "may... consider" this opportunity, but the more important question is whether they want to do it.

When asked about his own political ambitions, Eric replied that he is very much considering that he would be looking into the possibility of participating in the presidential elections of 2028. He emphasized that politics is "a tough business."

Eric noted that his considerations regarding politics are related to his obligations before the company and his young family. He also mentioned past attempts to burden his father, including legal disputes and family battles.

He pointed out that his father wanted anyone from the family to run, but this depends on the state of the country. Eric also positively assessed potential Republican candidates, such as former President JD Vance and Secretary of State Mark Rubio, who could continue his father's legacy.

This is already the second time in recent weeks that Eric Trump has spoken about the possibility of a political dynasty. Earlier, he noted that a political career for family members could be "easy" after the conclusion of another presidential term in 2029.
