Investigation of the murder of a couple in Devil's Den park continues

  • The police are investigating the suspected murder of a couple.
  • The children of the deceased have been left unharmed and are staying with relatives.
  • The couple had recently moved from South Dakota to Arkansas.

The Arkansas State Police released a sketch of a person they are searching for in connection with the double murder of the couple, who were killed while hiking in Devil's Den park. Clinton David Brink, 43, and Kristen Amanda Brink, 41, were found dead on Saturday evening, while their two daughters, aged seven and nine, were left unharmed and are staying under the care of relatives.

The attack occurred around 3:00 PM local time in a mountainous area, where police described the terrain as "rugged" with dense vegetation and a lack of mobile connectivity. The victim, likely, sustained injuries during the attack, but details of the murder have yet to be revealed.

The new sketch of the person of interest depicts a man with short hair, wearing a football jersey and a baseball cap. The police also released a photograph of a man, taken from behind, in which he is wearing dark clothing and has a large backpack.

The police described the man as wearing long sleeves with under sleeves, dark pants, a dark baseball cap, and a hoodie. He had a black backpack and sleeves without cuffs. It is believed that the suspect drove away in a black four-door sedan, possibly a Mazda, with a temporary license plate, partially covered with tape.

The police are asking the public to help identify the suspect for questioning regarding the double murder. It is unclear how exactly the couple was killed, but the recording of the radio communications suggests possible knife violence.

The seven deceased released a statement through the police, expressing confidence and support for the identified individuals involved in the murder. They indicated that Clinton and Kristen were killed while protecting their daughters and deserve justice.

The couple had recently moved from South Dakota to the town of Prairie Grove in Arkansas, where the delivery in their new home was scheduled less than two weeks ago. Clinton Brink was supposed to start a new job on Monday delivering milk.
