On July 30, 2025, around 7 AM, French footballer Maxence Caqueret was involved in a car accident in Como, Italy. At the time of the incident, he was driving a large SUV, likely a Bentley Bentayga, when he lost control of the vehicle on a slippery road and collided with a city transport bus.

According to local media reports, as a result of the accident neither Caqueret nor the passengers of the bus were injured. As a foreign player, the footballer was hospitalized, but after a few hours he was discharged, and he continued his journey.

Caqueret had been scheduled to travel to Marbella, Spain, along with the team for pre-season training, but due to the incident he was unable to join. The footballer is expected to return to his team in the coming days. He joined Como in January 2025, playing 18 matches in the last season, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists.
