Explosions Heard in Kyiv During Air Defense Drill

In the early hours of July 31, powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv. According to a correspondent from RBC-Ukraine, the military announced an air defense drill and reported a threat of missile strikes.

At 4:29 AM Kyiv time, a second explosion was heard in the capital overnight. The drill also took place in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.

Meanwhile, the military confirmed the threat of missile strikes.

After several waves, the air defense forces confirmed that enemy missiles had entered through the Chernihiv region and were moving toward the capital.

During the large-scale air defense drill in the capital, sounds of detonation were also heard. This was reported by the Kyiv city military administration. "Explosions in the capital. An air defense exercise has been launched. Stay in shelters," the message reads.
