On July 31, Kyiv was hit by a massive drone strike, during which explosions were reported in various districts of the city. The activation of anti-aircraft systems indicated the seriousness of the situation.
Megan Mobbs, daughter of the U.S. Special Representative to Ukraine, Kurt Kellogg, commented on this attack, stating that it is a response from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the actions established by U.S. President Donald Trump. She mentioned that Putin "tests the resilience and strength of America."
Mobbs is the head of the R.T. Weatherman fund, which provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine and transports American soldiers for treatment to Germany.
It is noted that on July 29, Trump announced a new term for achieving peace with Russia in 10 days, otherwise, Russia would face sanctions.
The most affected area was the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, where fires broke out in residential buildings and several people were injured.
