The Family of Virginia Giuffre Calls on Trump Not to Mention Maxwell
- The Giuffre family asks Trump not to mention Maxwell.
- Trump stated that he does not discuss the case for Maxwell.
- Maxwell has been serving a 20-year sentence for trafficking minors.
The family of Virginia Giuffre, who was a victim of sexual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein, appealed to U.S. President Donald Trump asking him not to mention her associate Ghislaine Maxwell. They referred to Maxwell as a "monster" who should remain in prison for the rest of her life.
The family expressed outrage after Trump claimed that Epstein "fixed" Giuffre from his Mar-a-Lago club, where she worked for 16 years. They inquired whether Trump was aware of the crimes involving Epstein and Maxwell.
Giuffre died by suicide in April, and her family stressed that Maxwell had pursued her during her employment at the club. They also called on Trump "not to dismiss the possibility of trafficking" for Maxwell, emphasizing that this was "one of the biggest scandals" in history.
Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year term for trafficking and conspiracy. Her lawyer stated that she is ready to testify before Congress under the condition of immunity from further prosecution.
Trump, when asked about the possibility of Maxwell's trafficking, replied that he does not discuss this matter but emphasized that he has the right to do so.
