The British singer Jess Glynne expressed outrage over the use of her song "Hold My Hand" in the video of Billog Doma, which promotes deportation. In the video, widely circulated on social media, people are shown in handcuffs, being escorted by immigration service officers on the GlobalX flight.

The background features audio from Jet2's advertisement, in which Glynne sings, while the voiceover states: "Nothing compares to a Jet2 holiday." The caption on the video sparked outrage: "When ICE books you a ticket for a one-way Jet2 holiday to deportation. Nothing compares!".

Glynne reacted to the post on Instagram, noting that her music is "about love, unity, and positivity, not about division or hatred." She emphasized that she does not support the use of her artistry for political purposes.

Actress Zoe Lister, who voiced the advertisement, also expressed her disapproval. She stated that the advertisement was created for enjoyment, not for political propaganda. "This is simply not what is needed. Using this for the promotion of serious politics is not what I agree with," she said.

The Billog Doma post received significant criticism on social media, with many users labeling it "sorely misguided and unprofessional." Critics pointed out the lack of humanity and ethics in using artistic content for serious purposes.

This is not the first incident where the Trump administration has used artists in its communications. Earlier this month, the administration shared an image of Trump, superimposed on the superhero Supermen, with the caption "Truth. Justice. The American Way. Supermen Trump.".

Recently, Trump announced a $170 billion allocation for border security and immigration measures, including $45 million for detention.
