Zelensky Discussed Support with the New President of Poland

On July 31, 2025, the first telephone conversation took place between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the newly elected President of Poland Karol Navrotsky. Zelensky welcomed Navrotsky after his victory in the elections held on June 2, and expressed hope for further support from Poland on issues of security and humanitarian aid.
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine values all support provided by Poland since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion. In the conversation, he also reported on the consequences of the recent Russian attack on Ukraine and the importance of support from Poland during these times.
The President of Poland, in turn, emphasized that cooperation between the countries should be based on mutual respect and broad partnership. He also raised the issue of historical politics, stating that important unresolved issues will be discussed in future conversations.
The inauguration of the new President of Poland is scheduled for August 6. Navrotsky, representing the "Law and Justice" party, received 50.89% of the votes in the elections, which amounted to 10,606,628 votes.
Zelensky and Navrotsky agreed on mutual visits to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, which should bring real results for both countries.
