Five jockeys missed their rides on the third day of the Glorious Goodwood festival due to an extraordinary situation with the aircraft they were flying in. The aircraft, which took off from the Beghbi airport in North Yorkshire, reportedly had engine problems.
Jockeys Rovan Scott, Callum Rodriguez, Pi Jay McDonald, Tom Izv and Jake Harritty were forced to return. According to agent Scott, Niala Hantti, the situation was quite tense, and even a pilot with 25 years of experience did not encounter anything similar. However, they managed to safely return to Beghbi.
Scott had two rides at Goodwood, including a race with the horse Magellan Cloud, but instead of that seat, Safi Osborn took over. Other jockeys also received replacements for their scheduled rides.
