69 People Killed in Gaza During Visit of American Ambassador

In the last 24 hours, 69 people have been killed in Gaza, and dozens have been injured, waiting for humanitarian aid. This occurred during the visit of the American ambassador Steven Vitkoff to Israel for discussions on ending the violence.

In the evening, many people gathered at the Zikim crossing, waiting for humanitarian aid trucks when the shooting began. Local Al-Saraya received reports of over 100 killed and injured. On Thursday, 19 people were killed who were trying to obtain aid in central Gaza and Rafah.

Gaza is experiencing famine, as reported by an international organization that deals with food security. The Gaza authorities reported that last week seven children died from hunger, bringing the total number of deaths from malnutrition to 154.

The social order in Gaza is collapsing, and people often seize aid trucks with humanitarian supplies that rarely arrive in the region. More than a thousand people have been injured, trying to obtain aid from the private Humanitarian Fund of Gaza (GHF) and waiting for aid trucks with supplies.

OON stated that the key to stopping the crisis is ensuring the population receives constant and adequate aid. Israel controls the crossings of aid into Gaza, which it calls a man-made famine crisis due to the blockade of humanitarian supplies.

Despite recent expansions of access to aid into Gaza, humanitarian organizations consider new measures inadequate for overcoming the hunger crisis.

Steven Vitkoff met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss further steps regarding the situation in Gaza. U.S. President Donald Trump called on Hamas to cease fire and allow the remaining Israeli hostages to be released.

Trump also emphasized partnership with Israel to create new points of distribution in Gaza, but details of this plan remain unclear.

Countries around the world, such as Canada and Germany, expressed readiness to recognize Palestine as a symbolic gesture against the actions of Israel. The international community tightens on Israel due to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, demanding a temporary cessation of violence.
