Kyiv declared August 1 a day of mourning after the Russian strike

Kyiv declared August 1 a day of mourning in memory of those who died as a result of the Russian missile strike on the capital on July 31. According to the information from Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, as a result of the attack, at least 11 people were killed, including one child.
"Tomorrow, August 1, in Kyiv, a day of mourning will be declared in memory of the victims of the mass attack by the enemy on the capital," it is stated in the official statement.
In all municipal buildings in Kyiv, flags will be flown at half-mast. It is also recommended to do the same at state and private properties.
All entertainment events in Kyiv are canceled on August 1.
Russian missile strike on Kyiv
As of now, 11 people have been confirmed dead, and the total number of injured has reached 135. The most affected areas were Svyatoshynsky, Solomyansky, Holosiivsky, and Shevchenkivsky. As a result of the attack, over 100 objects were damaged, including residential buildings, educational institutions, hospitals, kindergartens, and universities.
