President of the USA Donald Trump announced the extension of the tariff agreement with Mexico for another 90 days. This decision comes in the context of complex trade relations between the countries. Trump noted that the goal of negotiations with Mexico is to finalize a trade agreement during this period.

He also indicated that at the moment goods from Mexico are taxed at 25%, if they do not comply with the terms of the agreement between the USA, Mexico, and Canada, signed during his first term. Trump emphasized that negotiations with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum were successful.

In his publications on social media, Trump stated that "the complexity of the agreement with Mexico distinguishes it from other countries due to problems and activities on the border." Along with the new terms, Mexico will continue to maintain a 25% tariff on fentanyl, 25% on automobiles, and 50% on steel, aluminum, and copper.
