Bengals sign veteran Noah Fant to strengthen the team
- Noah Fant signs a one-year contract with the Bengals.
- Fant has experience playing in Denver and Seattle.
- This agreement provides the team with additional offensive possibilities.
The Bengals from Cincinnati plan to sign veteran tight end Noah Fant to a one-year contract. Although the team has not officially announced the signing yet, coach Zak Taylor stated that "we potentially have a good signing."
Fant, who was selected in the first round of the 2019 draft, played the last two seasons in Seattle, and previously played for Denver. In the last season, he recorded 48 receptions for 500 yards and one touchdown in 14 games.
The Bengals released Fant last week after he was let go by Seattle on July 20. He also met with teams from Miami and New Orleans before the Cincinnati selection.
Additionally, Fant provides the reliable option for quarterback Joe Burrow at the tight end position. It is expected that Mike Gesicki will be the starting tight end in the new season.
This agreement will be an important step for the Bengals, who aim to maintain competitive supremacy in the battle for the AFC title.
