They are members of Hockey Diversity Alliance (HDA) that is organizing the outdoor hockey tournament for marginalized youth in Toronto on August 16, which the alliance announced on Thursday.

The HDA consists of current and former NHL players, including Calgary forward Nazem Kadri and Pittsburgh defenseman Mettt Dumba, while the head of the alliance is former minor league player Akim Aliu.

This event is a continuation of HDA's work, which already promotes annual sports and educational programs for 1500 registered young players in Toronto.
