Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) received a fine in the amount of 150,000 euros (171,000 dollars) for the inappropriate behavior of its fans during the Champions League final, which took place on May 31 in Munich. This decision was made by the disciplinary committee of UEFA, which issued six charges against the club.
Among the main violations are the display of a banner with the inscription "UEFA mafia" and the invasion of parts of the pitch after the game. PSG won its first Champions League title, defeating Inter Milan with a score of 5-0.
UEFA also imposed a fine of 10,000 euros for "the dissemination of messages that do not correspond to the sporting event." Many of these violations relate to fan behavior, including the use of flares and invading the pitch.
In addition, the club was ordered to pay 30,000 euros for "the throwing of objects" and 8,000 euros for "acts of vandalism." The sale of tickets for PSG fans for one away match in the European cups is banned for two years.
PSG received nearly 140 million euros (160 million dollars) from the Champions League last season.
