Former Premier League player Abameyang officially signed a contract with Marseille until 2027. The 36-year-old forward returned to the club after a year in Saudi Arabia, where he played for Al-Kadisiya. In the 2023-2024 season, he has already appeared for Marseille, scoring 17 goals in 34 matches in Ligue 1.

Abameyang left Al-Kadisiya, where in the last season he scored 21 goals in 36 matches, and decided to return to France. During his first break in Marseille, he also set a record in the European League, scoring 10 goals in one season.

The forward, who previously played for Arsenal and Barcelona, arrived at Marseille on July 31, 2025. His return was made possible after the contract with Al-Kadisiya was terminated, which is looking for a younger forward.
