Rees-Zammit signed contracts with Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars, but did not play any games in the regular season. After participating in the International Player Pathway program, he spent time in the practice squad of the Jaguars, but his future with the team has now been uncertain due to an injury.

He emphasized that he is eagerly awaiting a return to rugby, where he has already achieved significant success: 32 matches for the Wales national team and experience playing for Gloucester.
