President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky urged his allies to call for a "change of regime" in Russia following the rocket attacks that killed 16 people, including two children, and injured over 150 individuals. The attacks occurred overnight from July 31 to August 1, when Russia launched more than 300 drones and various missile strikes, primarily targeting Kyiv.

Zelensky emphasized that while the world may not be inclined to seek a change of regime in Moscow, Russia continues to destabilize neighboring countries even after the war ends. As a result of the attacks, one of the missiles struck a nine-story residential building, causing significant casualties.

Russia claims that its strikes were aimed at Ukrainian military facilities, but the Ukrainian side denies these assertions. In response to the actions of Russia, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed criticism and announced new sanctions against Moscow.

At the same time, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a law that reaffirms the independence of two anti-corruption bodies, repealing the previous law that triggered mass protests in the country. This decision was made amid a political crisis and pressure from European partners.

Furthermore, Russia announced control over the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, but the Ukrainian side refers to this as a dezinformatsiya.
