On July 24, 2025, Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, died from acute respiratory failure, known as heart failure. According to medical records, Hogan also suffered from chronic lymphocytic leukemia and fibrosis prior to his death.

Hogan, who was 71 years old, was found in critical condition by medical personnel. Police reported that Hogan was found in serious condition and was taken to the hospital quickly. He had been declared dead less than 90 minutes after medical personnel arrived.
