Update on Russian Losses in Ukraine as of August 1

As of August 1, 2025, Russian losses in Ukraine continue to rise. According to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on one day, July 31, 940 Russian servicemen and 33 units of artillery were destroyed. The total number of Russian losses since the beginning of the war is approaching 1,054,200 personnel.

Among other losses, Russia reports:

  • 11,068 tanks;
  • 23,068 armored personnel carriers;
  • 30,944 artillery systems;
  • 49,057 unmanned aerial vehicles;
  • 56,894 units of special equipment and fuel tankers.

At the front, 124 combat engagements have been recorded. Russian troops have made numerous attempts to break through Ukrainian positions, particularly in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions.

Currently, Ukrainian forces are successfully conducting counterattacks. In particular, the village of Kindrativka in the Sumy region has been liberated, allowing Ukrainian troops to consolidate their positions and intensify the offensive against the enemy.
