Russian troops attack Kherson, killing the mother of three children

On September 1, around 6:40 AM, Russian troops shelled the Dniprovskiy district of Kherson with artillery. As a result of the attack, a woman born in 1974, the mother of three children, was killed, reported the head of the Kherson regional military administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

As a result of the shelling, six individuals were also injured. Prokudin noted that throughout the last period, Russian troops have targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential areas in several populated points of the region. In particular, a multi-story building was damaged and eight private houses.

Attacks on Kherson and the surrounding territory continue, despite the withdrawal of Russian troops from this region in late 2022. In recent days, the enemy has actively used strike drones and regularly shells populated areas and liberated settlements.

For example, yesterday in the outskirts of Kherson, a missile struck a civilian car, resulting in two people sustaining injuries. Recently, Russian troops have also targeted rescuers working on the aftermath of the previous attack in Kherson.

These incidents are part of an ongoing conflict, in which the civilian population suffers, and indicate that the situation in the region remains tense.
