Lindsay Lohan is back on the big screen with the sequel to the comedy Freaky Friday, which became a hit in 2003. The new film, Freaker Friday, will be released in theaters on September 8, 2025. In it, Lohan reprises her role as Anna, who is now a mother of a teenager.

At the film's premiere in London, Lohan revealed that her experience of motherhood influenced her role in the new storyline. "It was a full circle for me, and the time was very distant, considering that I am a new mom," she noted.

The film's plot develops around the relationship between Anna and her daughter Harper, played by Julia Butters. When Anna gets stuck in the body of the new teenager Harper, their relationship becomes strained.

Lohan emphasized that it was important to show how her heroine changed, becoming a self-sufficient mother. "I wanted people to see a part of themselves in the film," she added.

Also in the film, there is a character named Jake, played by Chad Michael Murray. He noted that the atmosphere on set was very positive, and everyone worked with satisfaction.

The film Freaker Friday is Lohan's first project with Disney in the last decade. According to her, if the film appeals to viewers, they can expect new sequels.
