Virginia Duffrey's family, known victims of trafficking, expressed their outrage after President Donald Trump stated that Duffrey was "stolen" from his Mar-a-Lago club. Duffrey, who claimed she was exploited by influential individuals, referred to herself as a victim this year. Duffrey's family stated that they were shocked by the president's comment, considering his inappropriate-narcissistic relationship with the tragedy of their sister.

Trump, responding to a journalist's question, said that he had previously stated that Duffrey "was stolen" from his club. The press secretary of the White House noted that the president did not raise the issue of Duffrey, but stated that Trump expelled Epstein from the club due to his behavior towards women.

The Duffrey family statement came after the U.S. Department of Justice questioned Ghislaine Maxwell, accused of trafficking women, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence.
