Dan Evans Exposes Davidovich Fokina for Early Match Start Complaints

  • Dan Evans exposed Davidovich for complaining about the early start time of matches
  • Davidovich expressed his dissatisfaction due to the early start of the match
  • ATR-Tour continues with new tournaments in September

This is reported by Sky Sports, Sky Sports.

Dan Evans, a British tennis player, spoke about the complaints of Spanish player Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who stated that the "extremely early start" of the match at 11:00 AM at the National Bank Open in Toronto was an issue. Davidovich Fokina, who ranks 19th in the world rankings, expressed his disappointment over the early schedule. He noted that his team had to wake up very early to make it to the match against Jakub Mensik, who was playing on a different court.

In his publication, Davidovich emphasized that players often do not pay attention to the schedule when matches are arranged. "This is not the first time this has happened, and everyone around you reasons that not everything is as good as it looks from the outside," he wrote.

Evans, who is not participating in the tournament, responded to the criticism by posting Davidovich's letter on his Instagram story. He pointed out that the Spaniard "has to wake up and play", adding that most people work early in the morning until evening.

Currently, Davidovich has not responded to Evans' comment, but it is possible that he will express his thoughts after his match in the round of 16.

It is worth noting that the ATR-Tour continues with the Cincinnati Open on September 7, and the final Grand Slam of the season will take place from August 24 to September 7 at the US Open in New York.
