Michelle Aldzhmeng, a 19-year-old star of the England national football team, expressed her gratitude to her teammates for their support during the Euro 2025 championship in Switzerland.
Aldzhmeng became the youngest player in the team to successfully secure the title of European champions. Despite the fact that she joined the team with only one international match, her teammates, including Manchester City captain Alex Greenwood, helped her integrate into the squad.
Greenwood, who has significant experience, did everything possible to provide support to the young player, which significantly eased her adaptation. Aldzhmeng stated: "Many of them took me under their wing, as I was the youngest in the team."
She emphasized that the team is unique, where every player, as well as the staff, feels their significance: "Everyone, regardless of their role, is valuable in this team."
Aldzhmeng also became a young star of the tournament, starting with important goals in the quarterfinal and semifinal. Her emotions during the winning final were captured on camera, which evoked heartfelt memories among fans.
She noted that no one took part in similar emotional moments and expressed immense gratitude for the team's support. According to her words, "when Kelly's penalty hit the post, I was in shock."
The England team will return to play on November 29, when they play against China at Wembley Stadium, gearing up for the 2027 World Cup championship.
