- Zelensky confirmed Ukraine's readiness for a meeting with Russia.
- Yermak called on Russia to move to real actions.
- Putin outlined his conditions for ending the war.
This is reported by Interfax Ukraine, RBC Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to meet with Russia at any time at the level of leaders. He noted that if Russia genuinely wants to end the war and establish lasting peace, this is a signal of their real readiness.
Zelensky emphasized that the decision to end the war lies on the Russian side. He also urged U.S. President Donald Trump to support the cessation of hostilities and to promote peace initiatives.
The head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak added that it is time for Russia to move from empty rhetoric to real actions. He reminded that in February Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire, but Russia did not fulfill this.
Meanwhile, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin stated that Russia is ready for negotiations, but on its own terms. He demands that Ukraine accept a neutral status and withdraw its military from certain regions.
During the last negotiations in Istanbul, the Ukrainian delegation proposed to hold a meeting of leaders by the end of September, including Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
