The season in the UPL and the First League of Ukraine started on September 1

On September 1, 2025, a new football season started in Ukraine. In the Premier League and the First League, the first matches of the new season 2025/26 took place. In the Premier League, teams played two matches: Kolos faced Kryvbas, while Rukh met Poltava. Both matches, which took place at 15:30 and 18:00 respectively, saw the teams striving to earn starting points.

In the First League, two matches also took place. YUKSА won against Podillya with a score of 1:0, while Viktoriya proved to be stronger against Prykarpattia with a score of 2:0. These results were important for the teams as they are aiming to secure their positions in the league table.
