Great Britain secured its first medal in swimming at the 2025 World Championships in aquatic sports, winning gold in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay in Singapore.
The team, composed of Olympic champions Matt Richards, James Guy, Jack McMillan, and Duncan Scott, finished with a time of 6 minutes 59.84 seconds, outpacing China, while Australia took bronze.
Scott finished the distance as the team defended their world title, winning by a margin of 1.07 seconds.
In other events on Friday, Anna Garanad Evans took fifth place in the women's 200m breaststroke final, while Luke Greenbank finished his appearance eighth in the men's 200m backstroke final.
Debutants Holly McGill and Ed Mildred did not qualify for the semifinals in the women's 200m butterfly and men's 100m butterfly.
Ben Proud continues to compete in the men's 50m freestyle, having advanced to the semifinals with a time of 21.61 seconds.
Jordan Houlden did not win a medal, finishing fourth in the men's 3m trampoline final.
