Lukash Paketa Cleared of Charges in Betting

  • Lukash Paketa has been cleared of charges in betting after two years of investigation.
  • The English Football Association recognized the charges as unfounded.
  • Paketa may retain "West Ham" with a favorable proposition.

Lukash Paketa, midfielder for "West Ham", has recently been cleared of charges regarding violations of betting rules. The English Football Association (FA) announced that the charges were not substantiated, allowing the 27-year-old player to continue his career without the threat of a lengthy ban.

The investigation began in September 2023, when Paketa received a charge of betting in "suspicious betting" during four matches. The footballer denied all charges, and the commission recognized the most recent charges as unfounded. Paketa also aimed to continue playing for his team during the ongoing investigation.

After receiving the decision on July 25, 2025, he expressed gratitude to God for being cleared of the charges against him. Furthermore, besides this, Paketa may also face sanctions for unrelated violations during the investigation period.

Currently, the FA has 14 days to file an appeal, and Paketa may retain "West Ham" under a favorable proposition. It is noted that he may sign with "Newcastle", as the club is seeking new players for its team.
