McLaren Leads in the First Practices of the Hungarian Grand Prix

On August 1, 2025, on the first day of the Hungarian Grand Prix practices, Lando Norris from McLaren set the best time in the first session, ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri by 0.019 seconds. Charles Leclerc from Ferrari finished third, trailing by ten seconds.

In the second practice session, which repeated the results of the first, Norris was again the fastest, while Piastri took second place, leading in the overall championship standings. Leclerc again placed third, falling behind by four seconds.

Isack Hadjar from Racing Bulls showed strong results, finishing fourth in the first session, while Lewis Hamilton from Ferrari finished fifth. In the second session, Hamilton finished sixth, falling behind two Aston Martins.

The practice results were close, with negligible differences between the teams. Max Verstappen from Red Bull had a less successful outing, finishing only in 14th place.

The next practice session is scheduled for 17:00, and the Aston Martin team needs to resolve the issue regarding Fernando Alonso, who is experiencing problems with his spine.
