Afghanistan and Pakistan have already secured their direct qualification for the T20 World Cup, which will also feature India and Sri Lanka. For the UAE to also qualify for the championship, teams need to go through qualifying matches in Oman in June.
Afghanistan, which placed sixth in the last T20 World Cup, has not played in T20s since a two-match series against Zimbabwe last year. Currently, Pakistan is playing a T20 series against West Indies in the USA.
