Musk Donated $15 Million to Republicans During the Conflict with Trump
- Musk donated $15 million to a Republican PAC in June 2025.
- The conflict with Trump continues, despite financial support.
- Musk announced the creation of a new political party "America."
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, made contributions totaling $15 million to political committees associated with the Republican Party in June 2025. Despite the public conflict with Donald Trump, Musk continued to financially support Republicans, including $5 million directed to the pro-Trump super PAC MAGA Inc.
According to data from the Federal Election Commission, on the same day Musk also made contributions of $5 million each to Senate and Congressional leadership funds that support Republican candidates.
These donations occurred after Musk, who previously stepped down from his position at the White House, criticized Trump for his spending and proposed legislation, calling it "absurd and ruinous." The conflict escalated when Musk accused Trump of associations with the Epstein case.
Musk initially intended to reconcile with Trump, but after new attacks on the president, he announced plans to create a new political party, "America," which was meant to serve as an alternative to the main parties in the U.S.
It remains unclear whether Musk made additional contributions to Republican committees after June, as reports of funding include only the first half of 2025.
