Trump and Maxwell linked to Epstein investigations
- Donald Trump was mentioned in FBI documents related to the Epstein case.
- Ghislaine Maxwell was transferred to a lesser security facility after cooperating with the authorities.
- The Trump administration is under pressure regarding the disclosure of information about Epstein.
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has found himself in the spotlight in connection with investigations related to Jeffrey Epstein. Along with the information, his name was redacted from FBI documents linked to Epstein's investigations due to his involvement in the personal life.
The attorney general Pam Bondi informed Trump about his mention in the documents back in June. However, in July, the Justice Department and the FBI decided not to publish more documents, claiming that there was no basis for their disclosure.
Meanwhile, Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's former associate, was transferred to a minimum-security facility in Texas after she cooperated with the Justice Department. During the depositions, she was asked questions about various people, including Trump, and, according to her attorney, she provided substantial information.
The pressure on the Trump administration is increasing as public interest demands the disclosure of all information related to the Epstein investigations, which came to light in 2019. In response, Bondi promised to release a "client list" of Epstein's, but in July she stated that such a list does not exist.
Trump, who denies any connections to Epstein, filed a lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal over reports regarding his ties to Epstein.
