Attack of Russian Drones on Kharkiv Resulted in Casualties

On September 1, 2025, Russian forces launched a strike on Kharkiv, using a "Molniya" type drone. According to the information from the head of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, as a result of the attack, several individuals were injured, including children.

The mayor reported that the drone struck in the area of a residential high-rise building in the Kyiv district. Initially, it was reported about one casualty, but later the number of injured increased to six, among whom was a 9-year-old boy.

The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov, added that two women, aged 25 and 35, were also hospitalized. All the victims are receiving necessary medical assistance.

In addition, as a result of the strike, two residential buildings and one car were damaged. Emergency services were working at the site of the incident.

This incident occurred against the backdrop of other attacks by Russian forces, including in the village of Lisna Stinka, where a 75-year-old woman was killed, and two men were injured as a result of shelling by drones.

The "Molniya" drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle that is often used for attacks on civilian objects in Kharkiv. Its weight is about 10 kg, and its flight range is up to 40 km.
