Gary Busey, a well-known actor, admitted his felony in a case of sexual crime that occurred during his participation in the Monster-Mania convention in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, in 2022. The 81-year-old actor acknowledged that during a photo session, he touched the thigh of a woman for 8-10 seconds.
In a virtual court hearing, the actor admitted that this was not an accidental touch. Initially, Busey was charged with several sexual crimes, including the attempted sexual contact and battery. However, under the terms of an agreement with prosecutors, three of these charges were dropped.
Busey is awaiting sentencing on November 18, where he could be sentenced to up to five years of probation and fines. The actor's attorney stated that this is the best resolution for his client. Busey gained fame for his role in the film "The Buddy Holly Story" in 1978, for which he received an Oscar nomination.
