Former U.S. President Joe Biden stated that the country is experiencing "dark times" under the leadership of Donald Trump's administration. He emphasized the need for Americans to fight for their future during a speech at the annual gala-concert of the National Association of Attorneys in Chicago.

Biden noted that the executive branch is doing everything possible to undermine the Constitution. "They are doing this often with the help of Congress, which simply sits aside, and with the support of the highest court in the country," he said.

According to Biden, there are significant moments in the nation's history that divide everything that was before and everything that will come after. He stressed that Americans are beginning to realize the necessity of judicial control over the executive branch.

"Courts have significance. Law has significance. The Constitution has significance. I think many Americans are beginning to realize that under the pressure we are feeling right now, it is only the beginning," he added.

Biden also criticized legal firms that are complicit in the system instead of standing up for justice. He expressed concern about the trend of some politicians demonstrating a takeover by aggressive immigration policies of the Trump administration.

In conclusion, Biden urged Americans to have the courage to fight for justice, emphasizing the importance of protecting fundamental rights.

This speech took place the same week that two of his former aides provided testimony before the Committee overseeing the Palate representatives as part of the investigation into Biden's health status.
