In Ukraine, on Friday, the day of mourning follows a massive rocket barrage on Kyiv, resulting in the deaths of 31 people, and more than 150 were injured.
On Thursday, Trump described the military actions of Russia in Ukraine as "abhorrent." The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reported that among the deceased were two children, and the rescue operation at the site of the shelling has also concluded.
In July, Russia conducted over 3,800 drone attacks and nearly 260 rocket strikes on Ukraine. It is noted that NATO and the U.S. are working on a new mechanism for providing military assistance to Ukraine, called PURL, which would prioritize the needs of Ukraine.
Trump also revealed that he announced the unveiling of two nuclear submarines in "response to the threats" following Dmitry Medvedev's statements about a risk of war between the two nuclear states.
President Putin expressed hope for the resumption of peace negotiations but stated that the situation in the war is in his favor and did not indicate any changes in his position, despite the impending sanctions.
