Trump moved nuclear submarines closer to Russia in response to provocations
- Trump relocated nuclear submarines closer to Russia.
- Medvedev warned about the risks of nuclear threats.
- Senator Lindsey Graham emphasized Trump’s commitment to peace.
President of the USA Donald Trump announced the relocation of two nuclear submarines closer to Russia. This decision was a reaction to "extreme provocative statements" by Dmitry Medvedev, the former president of Russia. Medvedev warned Trump about the risks associated with the nuclear system "Dead Hand".
Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social that the words could lead to unforeseen consequences, and he hopes that this does not become one of such incidents. Recently, Trump has increasingly expressed his dissatisfaction with the war in Ukraine, pointing to Medvedev as a target for his criticism.
In response to the threats from Medvedev, Trump also remarked that "the words are very important" and could have serious consequences. Medvedev, in turn, emphasized that Trump’s reaction indicates the correctness of Russia's actions.
Warnings from Lindsey Graham
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham stated that Trump is committed to peace, but warned that the Kremlin should not test the patience of the American president. Graham noted that Trump is not a leader like Obama or Biden, and will not tolerate threats.
Trump gave Putin 10 days to sign a peace agreement with Ukraine, otherwise he promised to impose sanctions on the Kremlin and countries that buy Russian oil. This threat from the Kremlin was ignored, continuing its military aggression.
It is also worth noting that in recent days Trump has indicated the readiness of the USA for a possible nuclear conflict with Russia.
