Eddie Howe spoke about the situation with Isak

  • Eddie Howe confirmed that the situation with Isak is complicated
  • Alexander Isak is training in Real Sociedad
  • Newcastle rejected an offer from Liverpool for the transfer

The head coach of Newcastle, Eddie Howe, confirmed that the situation with forward Alexander Isak is "not far from ideal." Isak expressed a desire to leave the club this summer and did not travel with the team for the pre-season tour to Asia.

Instead, he is training in Real Sociedad, where he previously played. Newcastle rejected an offer from Liverpool for a sum of 110 million pounds sterling plus add-ons. Howe stated that the club does not plan to revisit that amount.

At a press conference in Seoul, Howe noted that he learned about this proposal only through the media, and so far there has been no further development of the situation. He also hopes that Isak will return to the team.

"My situation is very different from what is happening at home," Howe said. He emphasized that the club supports Isak, regardless of his desire to leave the team.

In addition, the coach confirmed that midfielder Joe Willock has a serious injury, and his recovery may take 4-6 weeks.
