Burnley is negotiating the signing of Brodie from Chelsea

Burnley is actively negotiating for the signing of Chelsea forward Armando Brodie on a permanent basis.

The clubs have reached a broad agreement, but the 23-year-old forward has not yet given his final approval for the transfer, as he is still waiting on a contract for five years.

Brodie is interested in the move to Burnley, but the agreement, most likely, will not take place before the beginning of next week.

According to sources, the transfer fee could reach 20 million pounds, but the exact amount has not yet been confirmed.

Brodie joined Chelsea's academy in 2009 and signed his first professional contract in 2020. He has played 38 matches for the first team, and also made appearances on loan at Vitesse, Southampton, Fulham, and Everton.

In July 2022, he scored his first goal for Chelsea, but later was forced to miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury sustained in a friendly match against Aston Villa.

Burnley is preparing for the new season in the Premier League after finishing last season in the second position in the Championship and is planning to strengthen the squad after several key departures.
