MLB Holds Historic Game at NASCAR Track in Tennessee

On Saturday, September 2, 2025, at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, the MLB Speedway Classic will be held, featuring teams Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds. This is the first MLB game in the state of Tennessee, where previously no Major League games have been held.

The game marks not only a historic moment but also a new record for ticket sales. More than 85,000 tickets have already been sold, surpassing the previous attendance record set in 1954, when a game between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Indians drew 84,587 fans.

The field for the game will be built on the infield track, between the third and fourth turns. MLB aims to expand its audience by holding games in regions where baseball is not yet a prevalent event. This event is part of Commissioner Rob Manfred's initiative to popularize baseball in new locations.

During the event, there will be entertainment programs, including concerts, food trucks, and opportunities to take photos with the commissioner's trophy. Notable figures such as Chipper Jones and Johnny Bench will participate in the ceremonial first pitch.
