Details: The agreement was signed on January 16, 2025, and aims to strengthen cooperation in the areas of security, trade, defense, science, technology, education, and culture.
This document provides for the creation of new mechanisms to ensure security in the Baltic, Black, and Azov seas, as well as the joint development of partnerships in medical, agricultural, and educational fields.
In addition, the agreement envisages the introduction of the British system for monitoring illegal exports of grain from temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and confirms the role of Great Britain as a key partner of Ukraine in the energy sector.
Both sides agreed on joint efforts to combat corruption, improve military cooperation, and expand economic ties.
The agreement will come into force after the completion of internal procedures on both sides and will remain in effect for 100 years, unless either party decides to terminate it.
