On August 2, 2025, the eighth stage of Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift will take place from Chambéry to Saint-François-Longchamp via Col de la Madeleine. This stage is considered one of the most challenging in the race, as participants will cover 111.9 km with an elevation gain of over 3,490 meters.
At the beginning of the race, cyclists will ascend to Col de Pleney (13.2 km with an average gradient of 6.3%), which will be the first serious test. After this, participants will witness the development of events in the race, as the main battle will take place at Col de la Madeleine (18.7 km with an average gradient of 8.1%), where the finish will be at an altitude of nearly 2000 meters.
This stage is crucial for the team AG Insurance-Soudal, as Kimi Le Cort Pionar holds the yellow jersey, putting her position under threat due to strong competition from Pola Ferrand-Prévot, Katarzhin Nevidomy, and others. Among the contenders for the win is Sara Djigante, who may try to secure the stage.
