On September 2, 2025, an incident occurred in Russia that led to the suspension of the Central Asia-Center gas pipeline. This gas pipeline, which belongs to the Gazprom company, transports natural gas from Turkmenistan through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to Russia.

The explosions took place in the Volgograd region, near the village of Dynamovske in the Nechayevsky district. Emergency services were directed to the scene of the incident. Local residents reported on the work of law enforcement and repair crews to address the aftermath of the explosions.

This gas pipeline ensures energy for numerous facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex, including the Dmytrovsky machine-building plant, the Russian aircraft manufacturing corporation MiG, and the Magnitogorsk metallurgical plant.

Representatives of the Russian gas transportation company, which services military needs, are currently assessing the damage. The gas transport through the pipeline in the Volgograd region has been suspended indefinitely.

Attacks on Russia

On the night of September 2, explosions were also recorded in Lipetsk, Ryazan, Penza, and Samara. According to preliminary data, the drones attacked a manufacturing facility in Novokuybyshevsk, Samara region. They caused a fire that could have affected a refinery.

In Lipetsk, it is likely that a military airfield was attacked, and explosions were also heard in occupied Crimea, including near Feodosia. In Penza, two key manufacturing enterprises were attacked - the Radiozavod and the Electroprom plant.
