Changes in Social Connections During the Surge of Artificial Intelligence
- San Francisco is once again filled with people seeking connections.
- Anthropic occupies 32% of the business-model market for AI.
- Artificial intelligence fosters the development of unique startups.
In San Francisco, active events related to the growing artificial intelligence continue. The area is once again filled with people eager to establish connections on the backdrop of rising prices in the rental market. During a recent gala at AGI House, a well-known venue for tech events, discussions were held with representatives of the industry, including Jason Kwon from OpenAI and Emmet Shier, a Twitch co-founder.
According to Poshmark's co-founder, stressful times compel people to seek new connections. "Human connections deepen when times are tough," he noted. At the same time, Shier emphasized that in times of rapid change, it is crucial to pivot from trying to understand every detail to focusing on major ideas.
In another event, held at a restaurant with a Michelin star, startups discussed how artificial intelligence promotes the development of new business models and unique startups. For example, one of the young founders received funding to create an add-on ahead of the launch of ChatGPT.
In the context of the growing technology, companies like Anthropic have secured significant success in the business sector, achieving 32% market share among startups. This particularly applies to programming, where Anthropic leads with 42% market share, twice as much as OpenAI.
It is also important to note that the open models of artificial intelligence, regardless of their potential advantages, continue to lag behind closed models in terms of productivity indicators.
