At the Hungarian Grand Prix, which takes place on September 2, 2025, the qualifying session promises an intense battle among drivers. Oscar Piastri from McLaren achieved the best result, surpassing his teammate Lando Norris by three tenths of a second during the last practice session. This was a significant step for Piastri, who leads the championship with a 16-point advantage over Norris.
The qualifying session showed that McLaren continues to demonstrate high performance, and Piastri's time of 1:14.916 was three tenths of a second faster than his best result from last year on this track.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc was notably absent from Q1 in the previous round. Hamilton admitted his mistakes and expressed a desire to improve before his team. His qualifying time was fourth, but he remained behind his teammate Charles Leclerc, who achieved the third-best result.
Unfortunately for Max Verstappen and the Red Bull team, this weekend proved challenging. Verstappen finished 12th in the second practice and faced issues with car handling. After an incident with a rag that remained in his car, the FIA warned the Red Bull team about safety. Verstappen explained that he removed the rag to avoid potential hazards during the race.
The race will take place on September 3, and everyone is looking forward to the continuation of the intense battle between McLaren and Ferrari, as well as Red Bull's efforts to improve their results.
