This is reported by Ukrayinska Pravda, Ukrinform.
On September 1, the government of Ukraine approved changes to the Ukrainian plan, which is a roadmap for reforms necessary for obtaining financing from the European Union.
The Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev stated that these changes are necessary for "updating obligations," as they stem from the preparation of the initial plan that began two years ago.
According to the new conditions, the terms for the implementation of certain measures will be extended, while others will be shortened, and specific references to relevant EU legal acts will also be added. The formulation of certain steps of the reform will be refined.
Sobolev emphasized that the possibility of introducing changes was discussed with the European Commission from the very start. He noted that the changes will be implemented in steps, which will begin in the third quarter of 2025, when Ukraine will already transition to a new schedule.
The updated plan is expected to be approved by the EU Council by the end of September.
Financing from the Ukrainian EU fund is expected to amount to 50 billion euros, depending on the implementation of specific reforms outlined in the plan.
In the first quarter, Ukraine achieved 14 out of 16 indicators of the fund's effectiveness, and this year may receive 12.5 billion euros in support from the EU.
